2019 0044 studioDA: stadt im die raum

december 2, 2019 — january 31, 2020
viewable 24/7

vernissage on sunday, december 1, 16 h

Stadt im die raum will build on the discussion around Dwelling on the Future, which studioDA has been exploring over the last two years, including in the exhibition Extremes, at the Dostoyevsky Library, Moscow in 2018, at the invitation of Gleb Sobolev, founder and curator of the Architecture and Context project, and subsequently through their contribution of a model of Moisei Ginzburg’s Narkomfin kitchen to the exhibition Home Futures held at the Design Museum, London. In die raum, studioDA will present an exhibition engaging Berlin and London in conversation on land value, the cost of living and the everyday commute using large scale mapping of both cities. Stadt im die raum is a multimedia installation reflecting on and how cities respond to and cope with population growth, migration and settlement in the 21st century. Boundaries may not necessarily materialise as walls or barriers to have drastic implications for individuals and communities.
